摘要註:	For Wang Zhiyuan (b. 1958 in Tianjin, China), the things we discard, reject, or take for granted are vital and determinant, and often lovelier or uglier than we once thought. His boldly individual and ambitious style, using enormous and colorful metaphors, cleverly parodies the many contradictions of our globalized consumption, market insatiability, politicized cultures, and social decay. His work is part of major collections in the Asia-Pacific region. Inspired by the garbage and pollution that pervades the streets of Beijing, Wang Zhiyuan creates giant towers of trash and everyday objects, such as underwear to present his cultural critiques on our collective behaviors.
